As the country’s first 5 Green Star hotel, The Hotel Britomart presented a unique and technically demanding project that pushed the boundaries of architectural precast.

Wilson Precast partnered with Built to deliver the full structural precast package for two premium data centre developments by Canberra Data Centres (CDC) in Hobsonville. Spanning from early 2024 to late 2025, this multi-stage project demanded precision, consistency, and the capacity to deliver at scale.

The Central Interceptor project included the manufacture of specialised precast segments for seven vertical shafts, distinct from the TBM tunnel lining segments. These segments were designed for 5.5m and 6.6m diameter shafts, incorporating internal dividing walls and service shelves, with individual units weighing up to 28 tonnes. The complexity of these components made moulding, manufacturing, and transport particularly challenging. Each unit was required to be water-tight, demanding exceptional attention to detail and quality control throughout production.

Wilson Precast played a key role in the delivery of the Great North Road Interchange, a major component of Auckland’s Western Ring Route. Completed in 2015 for the Well Connected Alliance and NZTA, the project comprised four overbridge ramps connecting traffic from the Waterview Tunnels and West Auckland through to the city. Wilson Precast manufactured and supplied 296 × 1,525mm-deep Super Tee bridge beams, each weighing more than 65 tonnes. The scale of the project required careful coordination across manufacturing, transport, and installation to meet demanding programme and logistical requirements.

As part of the Ara Tūhono – Pūhoi to Warkworth project, Wilson Precast supported the construction of a key section of expressway infrastructure, helping to improve safety and connectivity along the northern corridor.

As part of the major upgrades to the Waikato Expressway, Wilson Precast supplied 14 Super Tee bridges, delivering a total of 160No. 1225mm deep and 72No. 1525mm deep Super Tee Bridge Girders.

Completed in mid-2022 for KBS Construction, the McLeod Green development comprised three 4-storey apartment buildings designed to deliver high-quality urban living.

Wilson Precast played a pivotal role in the redevelopment of Westfield Newmarket, a landmark retail and lifestyle destination completed in mid-2019 by Scentre Group.

Completed in late 2022, the Whitianga Breakwater project was a significant marine infrastructure development supporting the expansion of the Whitianga Marina.
