NX2 Puhoi To Warkworth Express Way

As part of the Ara Tūhono – Pūhoi to Warkworth project, Wilson Precast supported the construction of a key section of expressway infrastructure, helping to improve safety and connectivity along the northern corridor.

Working alongside the Fletcher/Acciona Joint Venture, Wilson Precast supplied a wide range of structural precast components, including 12 No. 1225 Super Tee bridge beams, 64 No. 1025 Super Tee bridge beams, 843 No. 130mm thick precast deck slabs, 318 No. bridge parapet barriers, and 132 No. 200mm precast panels.

These elements were crucial in forming the bridges and elevated road sections across the route.

Innovation

Wilson was actively involved in the coordination, integration, and constructability of both permanent and temporary design solutions — collaborating with project engineers to align design intent with practical delivery. A particular challenge involved the integration of deck slab material supplied from Spain, which required close technical collaboration to ensure consistency and performance across the structure. This project highlights Wilson Precast’s capability in managing complex infrastructure work, delivering large volumes of high-quality product to tight specifications and timelines.
